The Specials

Fresh from their 2019 critically acclaimed number one album ‘Encore’, British ska legends The Specials will make their headline appearance at Gunnersville on Saturday 7th September.

The Specials are without question one of the most electrifying, influential and important bands of all time. The ska revivalists recently celebrated their 40th Anniversary since they formed back in 1979 and founded the legendary 2 Tone label.

Get ready to hear all of the band’s memorable hits at Gunnersville, including “Gangsters”, “A Message To You Rudy”, “Ghost Town”, and “Too Much Too Young” as well as songs from their new hugely acclaimed album “Encore”.

Ocean Colour Scene

Joining The Specials as special guests on Saturday are one of the leading bands of the mid- ‘90s British rock scene, Ocean Colour Scene.

The band have had a phenomenal career scoring three platinum albums including their 1996 classic, ‘Moseley Shoals’. If you add to that four UK top 10 albums and six UK top 10 singles, the rock & roll traditionalists with a psychedelia, soul and blues influence are a part of the foundations of British music culture.

Expect an electric atmosphere when the iconic opening bars of ‘The Riverboat Song’ play out at Gunnersville.

General Roots

General Roots are one of the most exciting reggae acts to come out of the UK in the last 10 years. The North London band’s debut album, ‘Walk Tall’, released in 2016 perfectly captured their passion for the Jamaican sound, whilst giving it a whole new twist. Get ready for ‘Hardcore Vibes’ when the six piece band hit the stage at Gunnersville.

The Blinders

Proto punk psychedelic up and comers, The Blinders, are a force to be reckoned with. The North Yorkshire trio have taken the live scene by storm since erupting onto the scene in 2017 and have supported the likes of The Charlatans, Cabbage and The View. If you’re looking for an intense and brooding live show, The Blinders at Gunnersville is where you need to be.
